In sports, there is one given – expect the unexpected.

As fans, this excitement of not knowing what will happen next is a big reason why we attend, watch and talk about sporting events. For athletes, the unexpected, while thrilling, demands proper preparation to be successful.

From in-season practices to offseason cross training, preparation helps our young athletes build a rock-solid foundation for race-day success. It’s what they do to get ready for competition that often makes the difference when the unexpected happens.

PARK CITY, UT (Dec. 10, 2014) – U.S. Ski Team athletes and U.S. Ski and Snowboard Association events will continue to have the on-hill equipment and safety related support they need in the coming years thanks to a unique partnership with Word Cup Supply Inc. (WCS) and its European partner SPM.

Thanks to all the Organizers and Athletes for a great 2012 USSA SuperTour series!  With the challenging weather conditions experienced all across the country the winter, there were still some stellar events and races to challenge a strong field of competitors.  Back to training now!

The U.S. Ski Team and Copper Mountain teamed up to give away a chance to race Olympic champion Ted Ligety by asking the ski community “What makes you a champion?” Ligety shared his answers, and now former U.S. Ski Team member Bryon Friedman says what makes him a champion.
