SEOUL, South Korea (May 6, 2015)—Olympic excitement was palpable this week, as Olympic gold medalist Lindsey Vonn (Vail, CO) gave a thumbs-up to the new PyeongChang downhill in South Korea and was named as the first International Games Ambassador for the 2018 Winter Games to help promote the sport of skiing. She was with a U.S. Olympic Committee delegation, along with U.S. Ski and Snowboard Association officials who signed an agreement with the Korean Ski Association to foster greater awareness and education about skiing and snowboarding in Korea.
PARK CITY, UT (July 10) – The U.S. Ski and Snowboard Team Foundation has named two new members to its Board of Trustees. Joining the board are Daniel Leever (Palm Beach, FL/ Vail, CO) and Lynn D. Bleil (Park City, UT). The announcement was made by Foundation President Greg Boester, an Olympic ski jumper who took over board leadership last summer. Leever, the CEO of Specialty Products Corporation (PSP) in Miami, has been a passionate supporter of ski racing in his Vail mountain home.
VAL DI FIEMME, Italy (Feb. 26) – Liz Stephen (E. Montpelier, VT) powered into the top five in the 10k individual skate at the FIS World Nordic Ski Championships. This marks her best ever individual result, earning the top finish for the U.S. Ski Team and providing an historic best for the women's team in the event. Adding even more momentum to this year’s World Champs, Stephen’s teammates all finished within the top 30.

KITZBUEHEL, Austria (Jan. 20, 2017) – Austria’s Matthias Mayer kicked off ski racing’s Super Bowl weekend and whipped the home-country crowd into a celebratory frenzy with a victory in Friday’s Audi FIS Ski World Cup super G. Travis Ganong (Squaw Valley, CA) paced three Americans into the top 20, finishing 11th.

Further adding to the strength of the U.S. Ski Team's nordic program are veteran ski jumpers Jessica Jerome and Lindsey Van (both Park City, UT) who have been named to the U.S. Ski Jumping Team. Both are members of the Visa Women's Ski Jumping Team, a part of Women's Ski Jumping USA.
