The sun and postcard Colorado weather came out in full force for the 2023 Denver Sports Lab FIS Masters Cup and Western Regional Championships February 3-5! The race surfaced was perfectly prepped and 115 racers from 10 countries were full send for 3 days of competition.
Thanks to Carol Tomassetti (Mid-Atlantic Masters Division Chair) and Matt Mitsis (Eastern Division Chair) for providing the recap below!
We would like to thank Doug Briggs for maintaining and adapting skiracereg.com which has been a tremendous asset for our masters divisions for the last 18 years.
After a successful transition last season for the New England Masters and Mid-Atlantic Masters onto the new registration platform at masters.adminskiracing.com, Midwest Masters, Intermountain/Northern Masters, Rocky Mountain Masters, and Far West Masters are transitioning to the new platform for the 2022-2023 season.
How special was it to race on the West Mile!  Never in any of the previous 33 years has there been enough snow to even consider racing on Mile.  We ended up with a total of 78 total participants, bluebird days, and lapped the lower lift with snow to the bottom and no lift lines!
We threw quite the party at Sun Valley for the 2022 A Racer's Edge Masters National Championships! We had a full week of sunshine and great races. Parties were beach style with food and drinks outside the race yurt and it was great to all be hanging out again! Congratulations to all the competitors and winners!
The 2022 Phillips 66 Masters Easter Regional Championships were held Feb. 18-20 at West Mountain, NY. We had some great competition among racers coming from five different regional Masters groups across the East and Rockies including SARA (Southern), New England, NY, Mid-Atlantic and Rocky Mountain.
The Beaver Creek Race Crew put on quite a show with excellently run races and great courses for the 2022 Phillips 66 FIS Masters Cup and Western Regional Championships.
