Snowboard L100 and L200

Snowboard Level 100 and 200 Coach Certification

The Snowboard Coach Certification program consists of 4 levels of certification.  Each level of the program builds on the knowledge and experience gained in the prior level.  The curriculum is specifically designed to build a coaches knowledge, skills, and abilities in coaching athletes at all levels of development and competition.

  • Level 100 is for the new coach or a coach working with younger developing athletes in Phases 1 and 2 of the US Snowboard Training System.  The curriculum is designed to give coaches a solid foundation in the fundamentals of snowboarding along with a base of knowledge in the art and science of coaching young athletes.
  • Level 200 is for the experienced coach working with athletes in Phases 3, 4 and 5 of the US Snowboard Training Systems.  The focus of Level 200 is on coaching competitive athletes in entry-level events up to National level competitions.

Most developing and entry-level athletes participate and compete in USASA events throughout the country.  Through a partnership between USASA and U.S. Ski & Snowboard, all Level 100 and Level 200 programs are managed by USASA. The USASA website has further information, schedules, and registration information for Level 100 and 200 Certification Programs.
