PARK CITY, UT (Aug. 4) – U.S. Nordic Combined Ski Team veteran Todd Lodwick (Steamboat Springs, CO) locked up his career 20th U.S. Championship title as he came from behind to take the win under blistering heat at the 2013 U.S. Nordic Combined Championships in Park City, UT. After landing eighth in the jump, Lodwick made up a deficit of a minute and seven seconds to take the win while skiing the fastest cross country race. He was joined on the podium by teammates Johnny Spillane (Steamboat Springs, CO) and Taylor Fletcher (Steamboat Springs, CO).

U.S. Ski & Snowboard seeks to encourage and support development-level athletes in achieving excellence by empowering national teams and clubs. Dialogue and shared learning between the national and regional level is imperative in maintaining a healthy developmental pipeline. In 2017 U.S. Ski & Snowboard began the High Performance Center Program, which encourages certified gold and silver clubs, who have excellence in athletic development, sports science, and sports medicine, to become a designated High Performance Center (otherwise known as HPC).

USSA CONGRESS 2014 

USSA Congress is the annual meeting of the U.S. Ski and Snowboard Association, held each May, this year in Park City, Utah. The USSA Congress is open to all USSA members, regardless of committee participation. USSA Congress 2014 was a huge success. Sport committees, subcommittees and the USSA Board of Directors all held very successful meetings and solicited collaborative discussion on a variety of topics. Attendance was at an all-time high, with a record number attending President and CEO Tiger Shaw’s opening address.
