Park City, UT (May 31, 2016) – The U.S. Ski and Snowboard Association’s (USSA) TEAM Academy held its graduation ceremony for five high school seniors on May 29. Alpine athletes River Radamus (Edwards, CO), Storm Klomhaus (Boulder, CO) and Galena Wardle (Aspen, CO), along with aerialists Harrison Smith (Pittsford, NY) and Elle Gaudette (Maple Grove, MN), were joined by family and friends for the ceremony at the USSA’s Center of Excellence.

HAFJELL, Norway (Feb. 17, 2016) – Keely Cashman (Squaw Valley, CA, 16, National Training Group/Squaw Valley Ski Team) had another solid finish at the Winter Youth Olympic Games, taking 13th in Thursday’s slalom.

Aline Danioth of Switzerland grabbed her fourth YOG medal in four races, dominating the field by 1.59 seconds. Following Danioth was Ali Nullmeyer of Canada in second and Meta Hrovat of Slovenia in third.

Cashman has finished in the top 15 of each YOG event she has competed, taking 14th in giant slalom and 10th in super G.

In the final World Cup giant slalom of the season in Saalbach, Austria, Stifel U.S. Ski Team athlete River Radamus skied to 17th place and the World Juniors giant slalom champion Ryder Sarchett made his World Cup debut. 

The Austrian crowds were in full force to watch the best of the best put it to the test in Saalbach. The conditions felt like spring with warm temperatures and light rain on a heavily salted course.

It’s not every season there is a nighttime giant slalom race, and the Stifel U.S. Alpine Ski Team men took control of the icy conditions, all placing in the top 25 in the Audi FIS Alpine Ski World Cup in Schladming.

On the second day of the Stifel Aspen Winternational presented by United, Stifel U.S. Ski Team athlete Tommy Ford led the way for the U.S. squad, finishing 16th place and taking the third fastest time on second run. 

“I knew it was fast and it felt fast in the bottom section especially,” said Ford.

Ben Ritchie hails from the East Coast, learning to ski at Jay Peak Ski Club, and moving on to Green Mountain Valley School. Ritchie specializes in slalom, some of his top World Cup results include 20th place in the Garmisch, Germany slalom, and 23rd in the Schladming, Austria slalom.  Some of Ricthie’s other top results include second place at the Team Event in the 2019 Junior World Championships along with teammates Katie Hensien, AJ Hurt, and River Radamus.
