(Dec. 9) — U.S. Freeskiing Pro Halfpipe Team member Devin Logan (West Dover, VT) qualified second for Friday afternoon's final behind Canada's Rosalind Groenewoud at the Visa U.S. Freeskiing Grand Prix at Copper Mountain. Team members Brita Sigourney (Carmel, CA) and Jen Hudak (Park City, UT) also punched their tickets to the podium round of the season's first North American halfpipe competition—and first FIS Freestyle Ski World Cup sanctioned Grand Prix event—as competitors with the top 12 scores from Friday morning's best of two run qualifier made the cut.

MERIBEL, France (Feb. 23) - Less than a second separated the top 17 finishers in Saturday's Audi FIS Alpine World Cup women's downhill with Julia Mancuso (Squaw Valley, CA) leading the way for the U.S. Ski Team with 13th, .90 behind surprise winner Carolina Ruiz Castillo of Spain. It was a historic first World Cup downhill victory for Spain and the first podium of any kind since 2006. Alice McKennis (Glenwood Springs, CO) finished just behind Mancuso in a three-way tie for 14th.
