SEATTLE, WA (Apr. 14) – In a night filled with emotion and fond memories, eight legends of skiing were inducted into the U.S. Ski and Snowboard Hall Fame Saturday as over 600 attended a ceremony in Seattle. Olympic and World Championship medalists Joe Pack and Eva Twardokens headlined eight skiing luminaries who joined the Hall of Fame’s Honor Roll for 2011. Also honored was ski area pioneer, the late Nick Badami, who played a pivotal role with the U.S. Ski and Snowboard Association and the Salt Lake City Olympic Winter Games.

PARK CITY, UT (June 8, 2017) – Olympic skier John Bower, the first American to win the prestigious nordic combined King's Cup, as well as a formative coach and leader of the U.S. Nordic Ski Team, passed away June 6 in Park City. Bower, who was 76, played a pivotal role in the development of the Utah Olympic Park and establishment of its Olympic legacy facilities.

PARK CITY, UT (Jan. 28) – As a part of its initiative to increase educational opportunities for elite athletes, the U.S. Ski and Snowboard Association (USSA) and Westminster College have announced an extension to a partnership that has provided college education to over 100 national team athletes since 2005. A total of 23 student athletes – nearly a fourth of those nominated by the USSA for the 2014 Olympics – have attended Westminster in Salt Lake City while training at the USSA’s Center of Excellence in nearby Park City.
