GATINEAU, Quebec (March 1, 2016) – Simi Hamilton (Aspen, CO) and Jessie Diggins (Afton, MN) led the U.S. Cross Country Ski Team in the opening races of the Ski Tour Canada in Gatineau on Tuesday. Both Hamilton and Diggins finished third in a 1.7k freestyle sprint, making this Hamilton’s and Diggins’ second sprint World Cup podium of the season. It is also the first time in history, a U.S. man and women have podiumed in a FIS Cross Country World Cup on the same day.

KITZBUEHEL, Austria (Jan. 25) – Ted Ligety (Park City, UT) continued to show his speed in super G with an impressive sixth place finish to open the 73rd Hahnenkamm race weekend in storied Kitzubuehel. Ligety remained third in the Audi FIS Alpine World Cup overall standings behind race winner Aksel Lund Svindal of Norway and overall leader Marcel Hirscher of Austria, who will not race in Kitzbuehel until Sunday's slalom. Universal Sports Network will broadcast the race at 9 a.m. and 8 p.m.

COPPER MOUNTAIN, CO (Sept. 25, 2015) – Copper Mountain, home of the U.S. Ski Team Speed Center, will act as host to the Putnam Investments NASTAR Pacesetting Trials on Saturday, November 21. It will be the first time NASTAR will have the official pacesetting trials since 1993, when a young rising star on the U.S. Ski Team named Daron Rahlves came out firing and won.

PARK CITY, UT (June 26, 2015) – The U.S. Ski and Snowboard Association (USSA) has promoted Club Development Manager Brian Krill to director of sport education. Krill makes the transition following the departure of Jon Nolting, who left the USSA this spring to lead the Steamboat Springs Winter Sports Club programs as athletic director.  

In his new role, Krill intends to further integrate the development, education, certification and recognition of clubs and coaches while continuing to stay directly involved with the club development program.
