Visa U.S. Freeskiing Grand Prix Slopestyle Qualifiers
COPPER MOUNTAIN, CO (Jan. 10) – With a massive field of nearly 125 competitors, 37 countries took over Copper Mountain Resort for day two of the 2013 Visa U.S. Freeskiing Grand Prix men’s slopestyle qualifiers today. Six countries, a total of 12 athletes, five of which are athletes from the United States made it to the final round of the FIS World Cup taking place on Sat. Jan. 12. The weekend will be televised on both NBC and the NBC Sports Network, plus live coverage of halfpipe finals on the USSA Network beginning at 11:30 am EST Friday.
HIGHLIGHTS
- The Visa U.S. Freeskiing Grand Prix tour’s day two at Copper Mountain went smoothly with a large field of men’s slopestyle qualifiers today.
- Finals take place on Sat. Jan. 12 for men and women, with women’s qualifiers set to start on Saturday morning before finals.
- Halfpipe finals will be live streamed on the USSA Network beginning at 11:30 a.m EST Friday.
- The event will be broadcast on NBC and NBC Sports Network.
