Brandenburg 3rd in Europa Cup SL

POZZA, Italy (Dec. 15) - Olympian Will Brandenburg (Spokane, WA) showed he's back in the wheel house in time for the Audi FIS Alpine World Cup stop in Alta Badia by landing third in a Europa Cup night slalom Thursday. Brandenburg, who opened the year with a pair of NorAm slalom wins, finished .10 behind race winner Axel Baeck of Sweden and .08 behind German Stefan Luitz for the second Europa Cup podium of his career.
Following a World Cup downhill Saturday in nearby Val Gardena, the World Cup moves over a pass to Alta Badia for a giant slalom and slalom.
