Freestyle Athlete Membership

Freestyle Athlete Membership

It’s important your athlete has the correct membership for his/her sport. Please review the options below and the Freestyle Membership & Benefits outline to determine which membership is best for your child.

SafeSport and Background Screening Requirements:

Members 17, turning 18 and older during the membership season, are required to complete annual SafeSport training and periodic background screening and Introduction to Avalanches training. All requirements must be completed prior to memberships being activated. Members turning 18 during the season, which runs July 1st – June 30th, will need to register for and receive a green-light background screening determination within 45 days of turning 18. (Short term members are excluded)

Introduction to Avalanches Course Requirement:

  • The Introduction to Avalanches Course is completed through your online account

    • Members 17 years of age and older must have their own online account to gain access to the course

    • Linked members will not have access to this course

  • A link to the Introduction to Avalanches Course will be provided on the confirmation page and within your https://my.usskiandsnowboard.org account if completion is required.

Option 1 – General Membership - Non-Competitor:  AGE 0-17 // PRICE $35

Option 3 – Competitor Membership:

Freestyle Competitor membership provides access to all levels of U.S. Ski & Snowboard scored and non-scored competitions at the local, divisional, regional and national level. Competitor memberships include scoring on national ranking lists as well as International Ski Federation ranking lists where appropriate (with additional FIS license). This membership is required for FIS registration and FIS level competitions. May compete in aerial and mogul events only. You may upgrade your child to a competitor membership for his/her age class by calling Member Services on 435.647.2666. The $35 paid for the general membership and any applicable division dues will be applied to the upgrade. Additional division dues may apply.
