Freestyle Selections and NorAm Season

The Freestyle Selections and NorAm Tour is the second-highest level of competition in the United States and is designed to prepare athletes to compete on the World Cup circuit. Stops include venues in the United States as well as Canada. Winners of the NorAm Tour may earn a spot on the U.S. Ski Team for both moguls and aerials, as well as personal World Cup start for the following season.

Membership Information

All US athletes must hold a US Ski & Snowboard Competitor membership and FIS License in order to participate/compete.

Membership Renewal- deadlines to register for these memberships is November 1st for US Ski & Snowboard, and December 15th for FIS. After these dates, a late fee will be incurred. Click Here to update or register for BOTH memberships online.

Background screening is required for all athletes turning 18 & over during the membership season. Sign up for background screening will be emailed within 24 hours of membership renewal. Please anticipate 4-6 weeks for turnaround; international screenings will take longer.

SafeSport training is required for all athletes turning 18 & over during the membership season. For details on SafeSport training, please Click Here.

Introduction to Avalanche Course is required for all athletes turning 18 & over during the membership season. Link to course will be emailed within 24 hours of membership renewal. FIS Licenses will be activated upon successful completion of all membership requirements.

**An athlete on pending status is ineligible to participate/ compete in U.S. Ski & Snowboard sanctioned events.**

Athletes must be 13 years old by December 31, 2023.

Athlete Criteria & Invite Information

Foreign Entries: The event organizer will consider foreign entry requests on a rolling basis. Please email Lauren Benhoff at freestyle@usskiandsnowboard.org to submit an entry. Please note that entries will only be considered from National Ski Association members until November 1, 2024. There will be a maximum of 10 foreign entries per gender. If there are more than 10 applicants to start, the athlete's FIS point ranking will determine participation selection. National Teams will be notified of official event entry by November 4, 2024.

U.S. Ski & Snowboard works to provide a safe environment in which athletes can train and compete, free from abuse and inappropriate behavior. Please review U.S. Ski & Snowboard's Athlete Safety policies, the SafeSport Code, and the Minor Athlete Abuse Prevention Policies (MAAPP).

If you are an athlete who has experienced inappropriate behavior or know of an athlete who has experienced inappropriate behavior, please report to the U.S. Center of SafeSport HERE or U.S. Ski & Snowboard HERE. All adult participants are mandatory reporters. Reporting violations may be made anonymously and there are no fees for reporting. We all are part of promoting a culture of safety through education, listening, and speaking up.

Anti-Doping:
U.S. Ski & Snowboard, as the NGB for Olympic skiing and snowboarding, is required by the IOC, USOPC, and FIS to comply with the anti-doping rules and regulations established internationally by the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) in its code for eligibility in these sports.
