As a 17-year-old National Training Group (NTG) athlete in 2015, Nina O'Brien wowed the crowd when she snagged the national title in giant slalom ahead of U.S. Ski Team member Paula Moltzan and veteran Megan McJames at U.S. Alpine Championships in Sugarloaf, Maine.

HERoic Killington Cup Presented by Stifel Women's FIS Ski World Cup
The HERoic Killington Cup Presented by Stifel, a regular stop on the women’s circuit since 2016, was the first World Cup to be hosted in the eastern United States since 1991 and has since become a favorite event of local fans and World Cup stars alike. It will be headlined by two-time Olympic champion and 2021-22 overall World Cup winner Mikaela Shiffrin. Shiffrin has won all five of the past Killington Cup slaloms in front of the yearly crowds of nearly 40,000 ski racing enthusiasts.

Minnesota girl Paula Moltzan made the move to Colorado's famed Ski and Snowboard Club Vail from her roots at Buck Hill in August of 2010. Little did she know at that point, she'd become the first American woman to win a slalom gold at Junior World Championships.
