BIO

Jack Young of Peru, VT, joins a strong class of incoming talent to the Stifel U.S. Cross Country Ski Team D Team. A student-athlete of Colby College, Jack had a standout 2024-25 year, where he skied his first-ever World Cup race in Canmore, Alberta, and not only held his own but shocked the world's best when he qualified into the sprint heats in his first-ever World Cup sprint race, qualifying 11th. Then, Jack went on to be a part of history by racing at the Stifel Loppet Cup in Minneapolis, MN.

Jack grew up with skiing all around him. Growing into the sport as a part of the Bill Koch Youth League, Jack didn't become competitive with the sport until relatively late. He then joined the Craftsbury Ski Club in high school and went on to become a five-time State Champion. Now, he is a team leader and one of the strongest skiers at his college, and the first skier to be called up to the U.S. National team roster while still enrolled as a student in the school's history.

Now one of the country's best sprint prospects, Jack is ready to take on the 2024-25 season.
