FIS Athlete Q&A: Ashley Caldwell

By U.S. Ski & Snowboard
January, 15 2016

One of the most explosive athletes on the FIS Freestyle aerials World Cup tour, the USA's Ashley Caldwell is the type of competitor flipping triple when double would probably do, always striving to better herself and push her sport. The fact that she is even able to compete on the World Cup given that she missed the entirety of the 2011-12 and 2012-13 seasons due to a series of knee injuries is impressive; the fact that she was able to put together a season last winter that saw her take two victories and three podiums on her way to finishing second overall in the World Cup standings is incredible.

This season Caldwell is back after dealing with yet another injury in the off-season, and against all the odds she currently sits atop the World Cup aerials standings.
