We are excited to announce the dates, locations, and information for the major events for the 2022 season! Be sure to book your lodging as soon as possible - after last season theres a lot of people booking early to make up for lost trips last year. See the Masters Events and Schedules Page of click on the event programs for full details for each event!
Congratulations to all the competitors and class winners at the Summer Fun National Championships! It was great to get back on skis again in July after a most unusual winter.
The 2021 Phillips 66 Eastern Regional Championship event was held February 12-14 at West Mountain in Queensbury, NY. The event included two SG, one GS, and one SL race.
The 2021 Phillips 66 FIS Masters Cup and Western Regional Championships event was held February 5-7 in Big Sky, MT. One day with 1SG and 2GS races was squeezed into a break in the storm that ultimately canceled 2 of the 3 days of racing.
The National Committee is sad to report that there will be no 2021 Masters National Championships.
Race events have a team captain's meeting and inspections so we can become familiar with the venue and terrain before jumping into the course. If we happen to have a day where the race is canceled due to too much snow, we still need to learn about the terrain before venturing out. Whether skiing inbounds or in the back country, knowledge is power when it comes to avalanche and skier safety!
The 2020-2021 Alpine Masters Preliminary Schedules have been announced. More events will be added in the coming weeks as resorts announce decisions from their event departments. It will be a different year for sure, but Masters will be racing! And training too! Click to see all the info.
September, 14 2020 - So what's new for this season? Read up on the COVID-19 guidance, the new FIS helmet requirement for Masters FIS races, the fluorocarbon wax ban, and check out the new Masters store!
Due to ongoing developments of COVID-19, the September FIS Masters races and training camp in South America are officially canceled for 2020. There are many masters training opportunities scheduled for the fall. Many fill up fast so be sure to register early.
We are sad to share the news that we lost a beloved member of our masters community. Bill McCollom (New England Masters, M10) passed away on June 28th unexpectedly from a heart condition. Among many things he did, Bill supported the masters as Eastern Division chair for almost three decades.
We are sad to report that the 2020 event must be canceled. The restrictions currently in place for COVID-19 do not for allow for a large race event. A big thank you to Meri Stratton for all her work on planning this year's event and for the past 31 years.
Each year, the Masters hold Eastern and Western Regional Champions to bring together people from different race series. It's a opportunity to race against a larger field of competitors and see how you stack up.
