BIO

2022 Winter Olympian and 2023 U23 Green Bib Winner Ben Ogden is among the most electric skiers on the World Cup circuit. Ben is known for pushing the pace in almost every race he enters and, in the 2022-23 season, took home the U23 Green Bib, cementing himself as the fastest male skier under 23 years old on the entire World Cup.  and in the first stage of the 2023-24 Tour de Ski, Ben secured his first career podium in the skate sprint with a third-place finish.

In 2022, Ben had the best-ever finish for the men in history at the Tour de Ski in over four decades. He is ranked within the top 10 in the world for sprinting, was a two-time NCAA National Champion, holds two top-ten results at World Championships, seven World Cup top-10s, and was part of the double-gold-medal winning relay team at the 2019 and 2020 FIS Junior World Champs, along with being a member of the 2018 silver-medal relay team that made history as the first-ever medal for the U.S. men at a World Juniors event. 

Ben is also known for his playful and confident attitude, making everyone around him smile and laugh. A master of many crafts, Ben is in his element when surrounded by his workshop. He is a craftsman, loves to tinker with mechanics, and knows how to fix an old truck.

  • 1. Ben's father was the coach of his local youth ski league, getting him into skiing at a young age.
  • 2. He studies mechanical engineering at the University of Vermont and hopes to one day help build more accessible, and functional electric cars.
  • 3. Outside of skiing, Ben has an interest in woodworking.
