U.S. Snowboarding has announced its nominations for the 2016-17 season. Nominations include those active athletes who qualified based on published selection criteria in the prior season.

Each athlete accepting the nomination to U.S. Snowboarding receives world class program support, along with access to the USSA Center of Excellence, as well as athletic benefits including an elite coaching, sport science, sports medicine and high performance staff, and education opportunities.

An official team announcement will be made in the fall.

CABLE, WI (March 6, 2016) – Telemark in Cable, WI will play host to yet another prestigious race to be added to the repertoire, the annual 2016 USSA Cross Country Ski Junior National Championships, March 6-12. The hallowed trails of Telemark have hosted cross country ski races since 1973 including the first ever World Cup, the American Birkebeiner, a 2013 IPC Nordic Skiing World Cup race and the 2015 IPC Nordic Skiing World Championships.

After more than a decade of skiracereg.com (SRR) and even longer with some division websites, some transitions are in process this season. We would like to thank Doug Briggs for his service to the masters maintaining and adapting the registration system that has been a tremendous asset for our masters divisions for the last decade. Doug streamlined our registration not just within division, but across divisions. He continually added and adapted functionality all on a volunteer basis. We are truly lucky to have had his support and help improving and streamlining the racer experience.

KUUSAMO, Finland (Nov. 27) - Another strong early season performance Sunday by the U.S. Ski Team's Kikkan Randall (Anchorage) put her in sixth place in the Ruka Triple mini stage race in Kuusamo. Randall was 16th fastest in the finale pursuit to finish strongly among the powerhouse athletes of the sport in the three-day event, also keeping her in sixth place in the FIS Cross Country World Cup standings after four races. Kris Freeman (Andover, NH) was the top American man in 43rd.

PARK CITY, UT (Dec. 13, 2016) - Thirty-six skiers have been named to the 2017 U.S. Freeskiing halfpipe and slopestyle team, including 19 on the pro team and 17 on The North Face Rookie Team. The team is headlined by 2014 Olympic gold medalists David Wise (Reno, NV), Maddie Bowman (S. Lake Tahoe, CA) and Joss Christensen (Park City, UT) as well as Sochi medalists Gus Kenworthy, Devin Logan and Nick Goepper.
