Freeskiing Rev Tour Wraps up at Northstar
TRUCKEE, CA (Jan. 11) –The second stop of the U.S. Revolution Tour wrapped up its halfpipe and slopestyle skiing events at Northstar Resort; with snowboarding taking place on Thursday and Friday. High school senior Maddie Bowman (South Lake Tahoe, CA) won an 18th birthday victory in halfpipe,; while local force Kyle Smaine (South Lake Tahoe, CA) took the lead for halfpipe men. Women’s slopestyle was won by east coast skier Annalisa Drew (Waterville Valley, NH) and Noah Morrison (Vernon, BC, CAN) was crowned men’s slopestyle winner.
HIGHLIGHTS
- The U.S. Ski and Snowboard Association's Revolution Tour is geared toward young athlete's to help them grow their competitive ski/snowboard skills and assist with the road to professional athlete.
- Sunny skies and beautiful weather made for a great competition.
- Morrison’s winning run consisted of a right nine mute, to a switch misty nine mute.
- Carson Lehouillier and Michael Hibbs both did double cork flat sevens.
- Maddie Bowman's first place win came as an 18th birthday present.
- Bowman and Morrison both stepped up their final runs to steer them to their win.
- Next stop of the Revolution Tour is set for January 30 - February 3, 2012 at Otsego, Michigan.
