Fletcher Top 10 in Seefeld Triple

By U.S. Ski & Snowboard
January, 19 2015
SEEFELD, Austria (Jan. 18, 2015) - Bryan Fletcher (Steamboat Springs, CO) scored his fourth top-10 of the season, finishing ninth in the Seefeld Triple. Germany’s Eric Frenzel remained unbeaten, repeating as champion of the three-day mini-tour.

Fletcher continued to improve on his jumping, which has been a difference maker for him since the holiday break. He jumped to 14th, then gained more than a minute, 20 seconds in cross country to advance to ninth.

“Today was another solid day on the jump hill adding to my confidence there,” said Fletcher. “The race was solid and I was really happy to finish in the top ten.”

The World Cup tour now heads to Sapporo for a pair of events next weekend.

QUOTES
Bryan Fletcher
Today was another solid day on the jump hill adding to my confidence there. The race was solid and I was really happy to finish in the top ten. It was a strong comeback after my 39th place finish the first day. So I am excited to build on this momentum going into Japan. Hoping for some strong results there.

Solid result from Bryan. In fact if you calculate the results from yesterday only as a standalone comp (and not a mini-tour), Bryan would have won! The Seefeld Triple is a cool event but I think there could be some nice tweaks to make it more interesting.  Perhaps, 1 jump/5/10/15km or in the reverse order.
