Alpine Adds Two Key Positions

PARK CITY, UT (April 17) – The U.S. Ski and Snowboard Association has added Martin Guyer and Michelle Demschar to vital positions within its alpine development staff, announced Alpine Director Patrick Riml. Guyer, who spent the last 10 years with Green Mountain Valley School, has been named Eastern Regional Alpine Coach. Additionally Demschar has been promoted to Alpine Domestic Program Manager from her former position as USSA National Rankings Assistant. Each brings extensive experience within the alpine ski racing industry and will serve as key developmental links for USSA club programs as they continue to boost athlete performance internationally.

HIGHLIGHTS

  • Martin Guyer has been named U.S. Ski and Snowboard Association Eastern Regional Alpine Coach joining Western Regional Coach Karin Harjo and Rocky/Central Regional Coach Frank Kelble.
  • Regional coaches provide direct support in executing national development system programs in the three regions.
  • Michelle Demschar has been promoted from USSA National Rankings Assistant to Alpine Domestic Program Manager. Her responsibility will be focused on management of alpine programs across the USA supporting a national development system for USSA club athletes.
  • The Regional Coaches and Demschar work with directly with Regional Alpine Development Director Lester Keller to further support USSA clubs and promote cooperation amongst regions to strengthen national alpine development.
