BIO

Park City, Utah, native, Sami Worthington, is a rising star in freestyle skiing.

Sami was born into a family of skiing enthusiasts, her father being a two-time Olympian and a multi-time World Cup champion in freestyle skiing, Trace Worthington. Sami was inspired not only by her father but also by her opportunity to attend the 2010 Olympic Winter Games in Vancouver, Canada where she watched the all-star U.S. athlete Hannah Kearney win her gold medal in moguls.

Although her skiing and training schedule is quite busy, she finds time to study Pre Health & Kinesiology at the University of Utah Honors College. In high school, Sami played high-level soccer and was left with a dilemma of choosing to continue her career in soccer or skiing. She eventually chose skiing because she thought it was more fun, she liked that it's an individual sport, it provides a ton of adrenaline, and she gets to travel the world with her best friends.

On the competition circuit, she has earned two podiums in the National Championship and two FIS Open podiums that helped lead her to the nod to join the Stifel U.S. Freestyle Ski Team moguls D Team roster.
